What is the Youth Leap Bootcamp?
It’s a Korean government program in which universities and companies provide short, intensive training and job support to young people outside work or school. In April 2026, the Ministry of Education announced its operating plan, selecting 40 universities to support about 4,000 young people aged 19 to 34 who are not enrolled in school.
There are two tracks: an advanced-industry track, and a practical track that trains people across fields for AI transformation (AX) jobs.
Why do certificates and digital badges matter here?
The Ministry says graduates will show their learning and skills through certificates co-issued by the university and its partner company, along with digital badges. The shorter the course, the more it matters to have a record of what was learned and produced.
At the national level, the program also plans to issue badges and track outcomes through NAIS, the government’s integrated platform for advanced-industry talent. So it helps to separate the records issued program-wide from the ones your university keeps itself.
| Decide | Example |
|---|---|
| Course structure | AI foundations → job training → company project |
| Completion criteria | Attendance, assignments, project presentation |
| Issued by | Names and logos of the university and partner company |
| Format | Digital badge and PDF certificate |
Split multi-stage courses into separate badges
If your course has stages, such as foundations, job training, and a company project, you can issue a badge for each stage. That way, even participants who don’t finish can show how far they got.
For a three-stage course of AI foundations, AX job training, and a company project, create three badges. Keep the same design and change only the stage number and color, so they’re easy to tell apart.

The Ministry also says it is considering degree pathways linked to micro-degrees, depending on each university. Collecting stage badges makes it easy to summarize completion records later.
Issue the co-branded certificate as a PDF
Certi issues digital badges and PDF certificates together, and you can request a design with both the university’s and the partner company’s names and logos. See PDF certificates and digital badges, issued together in Certi for details.
